Waste from the electronic and automobile industries includes composite materials containing valuable substances that are often difficult to liberate with mechanical comminution methods on account of their complex structure.

selFrag Technology opens up new horizons here. Even highly complex composites can be separated with great efficiency, with no need for the fine comminution of the material that is often required with mechanical processes.

Thanks to selective fragmentation, composite materials are disaggregated along the material interfaces instead of being comminuted. The form of the metal components is largely preserved, and they are separated from the surrounding plastic or ceramic parts.
