The company selFrag AG specialises in the development and marketing of products for selective fragmentation based on high voltage pulsed power technology. The company originated from the Technology Centre of the Ammann Group . Ammann is a leading worldwide provider of material processing plants and road construction machinery.

selFrag Technology was acquired as a consequence of a long-term innovation strategy in the environment of Ammann's core expertise. The company was founded in 1896 as a mill construction workshop. The comminution and, later, targeted milling of hard materials has always been one of the company's core skills. In anticipation of changing customer requirements, the company produced machines that were more efficient and easier to maintain. The search for a further shift in development led to the evaluation of high-voltage pulsed power technology for various applications and, consequentially, to the acquisition of the expertise required to build plant installations. Mastering selFrag technology is the equivalent of a quantum leap in milling technology.

selFrag AG was founded in response to the dynamics developed by the various applications and markets for the new technology.
A team of process engineers and experts have achieved the goal of bringing an industrially utilisable product to market: selFrag Lab. This compact, turn-key plant is designed for batch-process fragmentation of samples in industrial, geo-scientific and mining laboratories.
One of the next products will be a continuous processing plant that will bring significant process improvements in the fields of high-purity quartz products and the recycling of high-quality composite materials.

selFrag has introduced wide-scale marketing activities and installed a dedicated sales organisation to market the new products.
